Today I am craving...Mother of Pearl

Sophie Okonedo's Baftas 2012 dress was, in my eyes, perfection.
She played it cool in her Mother of Pearl Nona dress with bird and striped print and captured that 'summer feeling' perfectly. I thought so anyway...

This dress has led me to

The Vagenda

If you are a human being capable of coherent thought then you need to be reading The Vagenda.
As a budding feminist and lover of shitty magazines this is basically a blog tailor made for me. Ever find yourself reading Grazia and finding the features a little jarring? Does Vogue piss you off but you buy it anyway? Yeah, you're like me. Read this blog.
It doesn't only discuss magazines but also issues such as strip clubs, politics, film releases and general lifestyle. It picks apart the lifestyle women are expected to have by the media and basically says 'nope, fuck you' , therefore I love it.

Purchases of the week, ready for summer

I went home for a few days this week and used the opportunity to get myself some bright new summer things ready for my holiday in three weeks. Yes, I have three weeks left to try and find clothing for a holiday; my first beach holiday since 2009! I've been shopping shopping shopping and tracking down some summer brights to bring my wardrobe forwards from my winter full of several shades of grey.

I've also been pinning like crazy this week on my Pinterest

Purchase number one is my scarf-print shirt from Matalan. Matalan isn't somewhere I tend to shop as there isn't one in the centre of Cardiff but my mother dragged me along when I was at home and I got some really good bargains! I always have to remind myself

Products of the Day, Elizabeth Arden and Clinique

I was just going through my normal morning routine and it occurred to me how many brilliant products I've come across and how I would love to share them with everyone. You will have probably heard of most of them but I'm here to say 'go on, give it a go. It's BRILLIANT!'

Firstly, my every day essential is my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Protectant Stick. I got this after a friend recommended it and I can genuinely say it

Deli Rouge, Cardiff

Today I popped along to my favourite local eaterie and realised with a start that I really must tell more people about this wonderful place.

Deli Rouge is situated in the Roath area of Cardiff - really is lovely, one must take a stroll around the lake.
Despite being a small venue with enough seating for approximately 20 people or so they have an enormous stock with their walls lined with delicious treats such as fine wines; jars of olives; chutneys galore; breads; meats; cereals; an amazing selection of cheeses; biscuits; pate and everything else you would need in a delicatessen, and more. With lovely wooden tables and crockery which makes me coo at its cuteness this is perfect for a rainy day when you want to hole up with a big, juicy sandwich.

So, yes, the food.

Fear not, normal service shall resume shortly. I'm currently working full time at Uni (a rare occurrence) in order to get my essays polished and handed in on time.

My newest, and favourite, method of procrastination is Pinterest. After waiting several days for my invite to drop into my inbox I finally joined today and am already hooked. At first I was a little dubious but within minutes of adding the 'Pin It' app to my bookmarks bar I was pinning away like a fiend.

With the options of creating several Pin Boards
